How do I enroll?

Not necessarily.
Students do not have to take the Foundation Class before joining the VEX IQ Competition program. However, the Foundation Class is highly recommended for students who are new to robotics, coding, or engineering concepts.

Here’s how to decide:

Foundation Class is recommended if your child:

  • Has little or no experience with building or coding

  • Has never worked with VEX IQ before

  • Needs confidence with basic STEM concepts

The Foundation Program builds essential skills—mechanical design, coding basics, teamwork, and problem‑solving—that make the transition into competition smoother and more enjoyable.

Directly joining VEX IQ Competition is suitable if your child:

  • Already has hands‑on robotics experience

  • Is comfortable with building, coding, and troubleshooting

  • Is ready for a season‑long commitment with a competitive team

Our coaches will help assess readiness and guide families toward the best fit so every student can thrive.
